Servo Voltage Stabilisers

We generally observe that, AC main supply is never 230 Volt or 415 Volt, but varies from 150 Volt-300 Volt and 300 Volt-500 Volt. It's a very common phenomenon, in India as well as most of the developing countries. The difficulties caused by them are well known, such as Over Load Condition, Line Losses, Poor Power Factor and several other reasons. Generally constant voltage which is required to load is never constant, but in fluctuation manner. It is observed that during the day time, the voltage is quiet low and during the night the Voltage is high then the normal. This fluctuation in supply system results frequent breakdown, low production and also loss of energy.

Now the power agencies insist the consumer to fix the capacitor to improve power factor and we get better results in power saving. But Voltage is also important factor to save the power loss. Technical institute and other aspects that illumination (Lighting) is working very efficiently at 220 V AC with minimum power consumption and longer life.

Same way motor transformer heating equipment's are working very Efficiently at 400 V AC with minimum power consumption and longer life without breakdown by use of a Servo Stabiliser. All your connected load can be distributed from one stabiliser, instead of using individual stabiliser on each load.

All the above features are available on our “HCS” Servo Voltage Stabiliser.

General

“HCS" Stabilizer comply IS 9815-Automatic line voltage corrector and latest amendments.

It is Automatic line Voltage corrector using synchronous motor in close loop control. The Stabiliser employ continuously variable auto transformer, buck-boost transformer, AC synchronous motor, state of the art IC closed loop control system with all protection, metering, indication and control system to give desired output voltage within the specified limits for a range of input voltages.

Provision for manual correction of voltage also be provided.

Features

“HCS” Servo Controlled Voltage Stabiliser is Designed & Manufactured as per ISI specification by Skilled Engineers. It is a reliable product for stable supply. It's fast correction ratio against quick voltage fluctuation ensures trouble free operation for high precision Electrical & Sophisticated electronic equipments. Sitting in fully Ventilated sheet metal cabinet sprayed with lacquer finish paints. It's rugged build & sleek looks make it a truly top-of-the-line product.

Control Panel

The Stabiliser control panel is provided with louvers for proper ventilation and the openings are covered with 2mm thick neoprene gasket for dust proof.

The control panel is fixed on the top pf auto-stat housing to give a compact design. Proper room for removing and repairing the components is provided. The wiring is neatly done and the components are logically arranged for easy phase wise identification and firmly interconnected.

The closed loop control circuit is of state-of-the art technology and IC based. All Electronic components used of high quality and properly soldered for long hours of continuous trouble free operation at specified site condition. PCBs compactly designed and fixed in such a manner that it can be easily removed and reconnected.

All meters, status/trip indications, control switches etc. are placed in front of the control panel and logically arranged phase wise for easy understanding & operation. All indications are of LED type.

Cables contractors and windings carrying the load current are properly design for its duty and current rating. Gear arrangements are properly aligned to give smooth, free low noise operation with minimum friction. AC synchronous motor Stepper motor have high torque/power ratio to achieve high efficiency of the stabiliser.

The carbon brush of the auto stat function for long period without wearing and a spare brush provided inside the auto stat for immediate replacement.

Auto/Manual Control

A toggle switch is provided to switch the Stabiliser on Auto or Manual mode.

In Auto mode the output corrected automatically in closed loop control to give the specified output Voltage. Provision to adjust the set value within the specified is also be provided.

In Manual mode an increase decrease push button is provided to adjust the output voltage.

Emergency by pass

Provision to by pass is provided on demand to switch on the output in case of emergency and at Stabiliser maintenance time.

Indication

LED type indication lamps for the following are provided separately per phase.
1. Input high & input low
2. Input on & output on
3. Output trip

Metering

Voltmeter with Input/Output & phase selection switch is provided for measuring all individual phase voltage.
A meter with phase selection switch is provided on demand for measuring load of Stabiliser as per customer requirement.

Optional Features-On Demand

Audio alarm at high/low inputs Automatic high/low cut out facility with manual reset.
Transient suppression network.
Line noise suppression network.

Other input voltage range

A160 - 260 V/160 - 300 V/150 - 300 V.
300 - 460 V/330 - 460 V/360 - 460 V/360 - 500 V.
Servo Voltage Stabiliser is also available with output Voltage of 110V.

Specification Selection of Servo Stabilisers

(A) Voltage Fluctuation
Note down hourly reading of your Input Voltage by good condition voltmeter for three days. Check the lowest voltage & highest voltage during the 24 hours. Peek the lowest voltage & highest voltage & give some more gap of 5% for more fluctuation & select if i.e. you require lower & highest Input Range.

(B) Load Fluctuation
Note down the hourly reading of your individual phase to neutral with good Condition ampere meter. If your load is balance in all three phase or within 10% of your load, balance type Servo Stabiliser is applicable. If your load is unbalance more than 10%, we suggest you unbalance type Servo Stabiliser. Unbalance type Servo Stabiliser give you correction of voltage in individual phase & helps you to save your equipments & power.

(C) Selection of Rating (KVA)
Check your all power connection (KVA) on which you want to fix the Servo Stabiliser & select it as per your connected load. You can install higher capacity Servo Stabiliser which is suitable for combine load of your plant. This will be economical and easy to maintain.
